One of the most important functions of The Hub is to try and get as much pro-independence information out onto other websites as possible. This extends to getting The Hub's content onto your own websites. Depending on your skill level, there are a couple of ways of doing this.

The Easy Way

The Hub has a number of embed codes available for use. These are similar to Twitter & Youtube embed codes - a couple of lines of text that you copy/paste onto your own website that will display the information you want.

Currently The Hub has the following embed codes available:

  • Events
  • Fact Checks
  • Fundraisers
  • Livestreams
  • Single Post
  • Timeline (Member/Group)

Each of these has configuration options such as limiting the number of results, changing the style & width & filtering content. These codes will always show the latest information so you don't have to change them whenever something new is added to The Hub.

To get started, select the area of interest from the menu at the top right of the screen.

Using The Hub's API

For greater control over the content and style, you can use The Hub's API. Broken down into individual areas, this returns the raw data that is held on The Hub's server, ready to be displayed exactly how you want.

Each user that wishes to make use of the API must obtain an API key. This key allows you to communicate with The Hub's server. To obtain your key, please email [email protected] detailing the website address or app name that you intend to use the information on as well as describing what you intend to do with the data. Once approved, a valid API key will be emailed to you.

Please see the Developer API page for more information.
