Bad news, Bert. The UK Supreme Court's judgement is that the Scottish Government does not have powers to hold even an advisory referendum on Scottish independence without permission (in the form of a Section 30 order) from Westminster.

Oddly, the judgement also rejected the notion that the people of Scotland have a right to self...

Has anybody seen our flags?

Several years ago we bought 5 of these at £34 each, and used them on marches and street stalls. Right now we only know the whereabouts of one of them.

Please could you look (again for some) in all your usual cubby holes and places where you keep your activist stuff, and see if you can find any of the absent flags.

What influences the size of the Scottish budget now...
One of our members realised that, even though we value the research and materials produced by Believe in Scotland, actually many members of the public don't know who that group is. Importantly, that means they don't know how trustworthy the information is.

So, via the BiS stakeholders group, we fed this back to them and as a result they have produced materials to enhance awareness of their brand....
