Leave A Light On: Brexit Events In Scotland

Listed below are all the events happening around Scotland to mourn our country being ripped out of Europe against our will. Not only did Scotland vote decisively  to Remain in the EU (62% to 38%) but a recent poll now shows a whopping 73% of Scots believe the UK is wrong to leave. If you know of any events happening that aren't listed here, then please let me know!

  1. Perth4Europe has a social event at The Prosecco Bar, The Venue, St John Street, Perth at 8.30pm where you can share your thoughts for how they may move forward as a group or just be with others who regret what is happening.

At about 10.30pm they’ll walk to the Queen’s Bridge with flags and placards to mark our sorrow that the UK is leaving the EU at 11pm. Ode to Joy may be played or hummed – bring a musical instrument if you play – and Auld Lang Syne sung.

    1. Hi William, that event has already been added on this page (it’s filed under “Scottish Events” as there is no Perth4Europe group on The Hub (yet!)

  2. Yes Vale and Dumbarton are holding a family & dog friendly candlelight vigil in the Christie park, Alexandria from 6.30pm-8pm as part of a nationwide action to ask the EU to #Leavealighton for Scotland.
We feel it’s important to take part in this event which is happening in towns and cities across Scotland because West Dunbartonshire voted to stay in the EU but we are being dragged out against our will by a Westminster government we didn’t vote for.
We welcome the community to join us in lighting a candle and helping us light up the darkness that Brexit represents to so many in Scotland.
