Scotland does not control broadcasting. We have no control over licences for radio or TV. We have no channel that accurately reflects the social attitudes or political makeup of our country. We're forced to fund a corporation that views news stories through London, with an obsession with "the markets". This corporation takes our money and gives only 55% of it back to spend in Scotland. Scotland isn't just shortchanged by media financially, but intellectually.
Scotland deserves its own media. It deserves to see ourselves as others see us. This is the normal state of affairs. Scotland is the exception to this. Traditional broadcast media controls the narrative and is happy to ignore things it (or the UK Government) does not agree with.
We are very lucky to have Independence Live, a group that shines a light on what the media keeps hidden from us. They attend rallies, demos, hustings, campaigns & conferences around the country. They stream events that the majority of us can't attend - or didn't even know about.
Without these guys, a lot of what happens in this country would go unnoticed. We can't complain about media bias or lack of reporting if we don't actively support the very organisations that actually provide this for us.
Who knows, perhaps a video they produce contains enough information to convince a No voter to vote Yes next time. That's reason enough to support them.
They have a crowdfunder up at the moment. I urge you to donate if you can.

Below is a selection of the great work they have produced over the last year.
