In the city of Vilafranca, like many places in Catalonia, there has been a nightly protest every day since the imprisonment of politicians and activists in Oct 2017. Organised by "La Música Per La Llibertat" (music for freedom).

The organiser, Kevin Hague, says he wants the school curriculum to be "biased towards a particular historical & political narrative". How utterly dangerous is that!? There isn't nearly enough emphasis on Scottish history taught in our schools as it is. And he says wants "the integrity of the United Kingdom defended,". How on earth do you defend the indefensible oppression of the Scottish... facebook.com/...5083410796

Absolutely! The tangerine in the WhiteHouse has completely lost the plot. The European leaders should roundly condemn his reckless behaviour. And don't get me started on Mike Pomposity personified. We’ve never been able to actually confirm the oft-cited “quote” from Margaret Thatcher suggesting that the SNP winning a majority of Scottish seats at a UK election would constitute a mandate for independence, but here’s a verified more recent one from a then-serving Conservative PM. “[John] Major has made it clear that a majority of […]

We are getting unpacked and settling into our new office at the Glasgow Collective. 😀 We have even made a new office dog pal! It's an amazing modern office space in the heart of Glasgow's Barras, home to many inspiring Scottish organisations. We're excited to get started on all of our exciting projects/activities coming up in 2020 here. facebook.com/...2417966741

“It is essential now that the Scottish people display their determination not to be ruled by Boris Johnson's government, which is an affront to every value that we hold dear.  We have put up with London rule for far too long. We are calling a stop, and the first concrete action which everybody can take is to get to Glasgow and fill the streets on 11 January with a demonstration which even...

The march will begin at Kelvingrove Park and make its way through the city centre, taking in the symbolic Union Street and heading along the Clyde so it is visible from the motorway, before ending at Glasgow Green. ORGANISERS of Saturday’s march for independence are predicting it will be the largest event of its kind ever seen in Scotland. facebook.com/...5076401094

@WhiskyMac They can't afford to go it alone. And I doubt UK Labour will fund a separate party in Scotland that has a different policy on a number of things.

@WhiskyMac Agreed. And perhaps local communities could take it upon themselves to organise something. Scotland should be proud to promote her history
