The Daily Record's story about "Cybernats" abusing David Bowie a few hours of his death is a great example of why the main stream media in Scotland is sinking.
Not only is this a non-story (someone says something disrespectful about someone) it show how far down the priority list real journalism has become.
This isn't investigative journalism - the kind of stuff that makes us want to actually buy a paper. The headline of this story was already prepared (dare I suggest it, perhaps just moments after the announcement of his death was made). All they needed was someone to scroll through Twitter for an hour or two then pick off a few hateful tweets, spin it is as indicative of a typical SNP voters behaviour, and job is done.
It's pathetic.
