Status

I DIDN’T want to end the year on an angry note, but then I saw the Honours List. For some, the hard-working, the local, the unsung, it could very well be an honour for them to be noticed. And why not, since they’ve devoted self, time and service. But surely we recognise the patronage being sold in anticipation or being rewarded for services already rendered. Unelected Lords lording over us...
