Today is #LocalRadioDay

Last year 150 stations took part in the event and is back today for it’s 6th year with the theme ‘Love Your Place’.

Why not tune in and join in the celebration of local radio.

Nice start to the day with Cllr Zoe Hisbent as we visited Louise at the opening of her new premises, Grain & Sustain on Tolbooth Street, Kirkcaldy High Street.

The zero waste, eco-friendly business has enjoyed great success in Burntisland and I was delighted to welcome them to Kirkcaldy.

A petition signed by over 3000 people in the town was organised and there are around 200 objections on the council portal. Last week I wrote to the relevant government Minister to request a call-in and to...
Throughout the last 18 months, I have been in regular contact with many local businesses owners who have struggled financially as a result of the pandemic.

Whilst it has been encouraging to see so many of these businesses starting to recover, it has become clear that the travel industry is still facing serious challenges on a daily basis with consumer uncertainty about restrictions having a...
Fantastic weather and a great turnout for Seafield Beach Clean today, a big thank you to Seafield Environment Group for organising the event.
Great to see the Grey Panthers back at the Linton Lane centre.

The senior citizens group runs every Wednesday from 12:15pm - 2:15pm and offers opportunities for over 60’s to socialise, participate in exercise classes, trips, games and dinners.

Cllr Zoe Hisbent and I headed down to have a blether with the group and tried our hand at a game of bingo.
It’s great news that Carr’s Flour Mills Ltd is set to benefit from the latest round of freight facilities grant funding to help them move more wheat by sea.

The company will receive around £357,000 from Transport Scotland to build new grain storage facilities at Kirkcaldy Harbour.

It’s estimated this will keep around 1.1 million lorry miles off the road each year, with 390,000 miles saved...
