Congratulations to our new Black Isle Highland Councillor Lyndsey Johnston who was elected at Stage 2!
Tomorrow, Thursday 5th May, Polling stations will be open for the Local Government Elections from 7am to 10pm. You do not need your polling card to attend. If you received a postal vote and have not yet popped it in the post, you can take it along to your local polling station and it can still count. Here are the list of local polling stations our ward:

Over the last few days we have noticed a number of our posters being stolen or vandalised in both Culbokie and Muir of Ord.

We would like to mention to those that have done this that it is being treated as theft and vandalism and has been reported to Police Scotland.

Thank you to our members and supporters for making us aware and for helping to fix the damage done, this is not what democracy...

I am an SNP Councillor for Dingwall and Seaforth which is now Ward number 08 under the new arrangements.
Families across the Highlands are facing another devasting increase in the cost of living crisis, pushing members of our communities further into fuel poverty. Tomorrow (1st April) will see the raising of the average annual energy bills by £693. That’s an increase of 54%! With little support from the Chancellor in the spring budget, the Scottish Government are committed to doing all we can...
The ewes seem to know their way back to our croft. Now we are ready for lambing!
Returning home to Skye from Westminster it is distressing to see a hill fire. Grateful thanks to the firefighters battling to keep the blaze under some form of control.
