For the avoidance of doubt, a referendum remains the SNP’s preferred...

📣 Financial Times: "Scotland - which has its own state-owned water company - massively outperformed its neighbours with water standards similar to much of Scandinavia."

Unfortunately Labour have managed to take control of the leadership of North Lanarkshire Council once more at today's full council meeting, with the council's previous Labour leader and Depute Leader reinstalled.

Labour combined together with the five Tories and the council's one British Unionist Party councillor to win the leadership by one vote over the SNP.

North Lanarkshire’s SNP Councillors met this evening and unanimously elected Councillor Tracy Carragher as Leader and Councillor Alan Masterton as Depute Leader of the SNP Group. * Discussed constituent issues with relevant council officers on a range of issues covering education, community learning and development, and roads and transportation.
* Spoke with Historic Environment Scotland to clarify their listing and consultation...
A disappointing statement from North Lanarkshire Labour ahead of the first Full Council meeting a week on Thursday.

We can’t let this happen - please use your voice...
